About the BERG
On April 17-18, 2007, the California Department of Education (CDE) in partnership with the Business Education Project, Sonoma State University, California Institute on Human Services, convened the initial meeting of the Business Education Resource Group at the Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova. The resource group consists of over thirty educators and industry representatives familiar with the Business Education industry sectors, including Finance and Business, Marketing, Sales and Service, and Information Technology. The primary purpose of the group is to provide expertise, guidance, and assistance as California seeks to ensure quality programs and chart the future direction of Business Education reflective of the changing needs and demands of California’s economy and the global marketplace.
During the course of their participation, committee members will provide their expertise, information, and recommendations, which will be considered in improving the quality of Business Education programs and articulating goals and objectives consistent with CDE and state initiatives. We believe that the relationships established through the resource group will support and strengthen the partnership between business, education and the CDE, and provide a forum for ongoing
